The first item valued at a costly price is the Patek Philippe Pocket Watch. The Patek Philippe Pocket Watch was made for George Thompson, a U.S entrepreneur back in 1914. George Thompson gave the watch to his son who then gave it to his son. The grandson of George Thompson appraised the pocket watch. The watch was originally appraised at $250,000 in 2004, but the appraisal was later updated to $1,500,000 in 2016. The Patek Philippe Pocket Watch was sold for $1,541,212 when it was auctioned.

The other expensive antique talked about here is the Chinese Rhinoceros Horn Cups. A man began collecting these cups made from rhinoceros back in the 170s during his tours worldwide. There are some cups collected which date back in the early 1000 B.C. The appraisal for the entire collection of the Chinese Rhinoceros Horn Cups was between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000. Two of the rhinoceros cups have been auctioned and sold for $329,000.

Another costly antique talked about here are the Boston Red Stockings Collection. The written notes, baseball cards and autographs of one of the earliest baseball professional team are in this collection. The team was the Boston Red Stockings, and it included the hall of fame players such as George Wright. It is hard to tell what this archive would sell for as it has never sold in an auction. The estimated worth of the sports memorabilia is said to be worth $5.4 billion.

Another expensive item discussed here is the Honus Wagner Baseball Card. There was an appraisal made for one of these cards in Baltimore for $780,000 to $1,300,000. A record selling price was set back in 2016 when a card was sold for $3,120,000.

Another costly antique talked about here is the Navajo Chief’s Blanket. This blanket has a significant place in US history as it is a rare item. This blanket was appraised for $750,000 to $1,000,000, and it was sold for $1,800,000 in Tucson, Arizona.

The Patek Philippe Supercomplication Pocket Watch is another expensive antique talked about here. During an auction in 1999, the pocket watch was sold for $$11 million. The watch was later sold again for $24 million in 2014.

The Harrington Commode is another expensive antique talked about here. This commode was sold for over3.7 million when it was auctioned at Sotheby’s in 2010. At the current exchange rates, this commode is valued for more than $5 million.
