The Future of Newspapers, Today!

Plastic_logic Jen: With paper costs on the rise and circulation on the decline, newspaper publishers may be one step closer to dealing with both challenges. Plastic Logic announced today an electronic version of the Daily Miracle that constantly updates the plastic "sheet" device.

The product is slightly different than Amazon's Kindle and Sony's eReader in that it's almost twice as large-- the size of piece of copier paper reported Eric Taub at The New York Times. Plastic Logic plans to roll-out the device for sale in the first half of 2009. We will have to wait to until the CES show in January to find out the price and the news organizations that signed on to be part of the feed.

I don't know about you Fitz, but I've seen more and more people accessing content through Kindle -- I see at least two or three of them on the subway each morning.    Here's an interesting video on the development of the new "plastic technology."
